The 2026 Bookin' It 5K will now take place on Saturday, October 17th at 8AM. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we prepare.

The 2026 Bookin' It 5K will be postponed out of an abundance of caution due to weather. Runner packet pick-up will end at 6:00 pm tonight. A make-up event will be announced on Monday afternoon. We will also announce additional runner packet pick-up times. Race registration will remain open through next week.
Thank you for your amazing support to the Friends of Trussville Library and the Trussville Public Library! We wish you all a safe weekend.
Join us for another fun year of supporting the Friends in their mission to help the library be the best it can be for the community!
Every year, the Friends host the Bookin' It 5K to raise funds that support the library's programs, prizes, and collections all year long. The Bookin' It 5K starts and finishes at the Trussville Public Library and is chip timed. A race t-shirt is also included with the registration fee!
The race will begin at 8AM, but join us earlier that morning for vendors, giveaways, and more fun!
NEW THIS YEAR:
- We have new runner categories to choose from! You can sign up as a regular runner, a stroller-pusher, or, for those who can't make it to the race, as a virtual/sleep-in supporter!
- You can now choose additional shirt sizes for adults and children!
