Every year, the Friends of the Trussville Public Library host the Bookin' It 5K to raise funds that support the library's programs, prizes, and collections all year long!

The Bookin' It 5K starts and finishes at the Trussville Public Library and is chip timed. A race t-shirt is also included with the registration fee!

IMPORTANT DATES:

April 10th - Race opens for registration

October 2nd - Last day for $30 pricing

October 3rd - Price increases to $35 (for non-virtual options)

October 10th - Race day! Pick up your race packet and get ready to run (or walk)!

Walk-up registrations welcome until 8AM (no guarantee of race shirt)

After the race - View your Bookin' It 2026 pics, rank, and time through email!

SHIRTS & PACKETS

When you register for the Bookin' It 5K, you'll get your free race shirt, chip-timed bib, and some fun extras in your packet!

You can choose from sizes Children's Small to Adult 3X, and order extras for an additional fee.

Register by September 15th to make sure your shirt is the perfect fit!

Stop by the library lobby to pick up your race packet at the following times:

Thursday, October 8th from 2 - 8pm
Friday, October 9th from 10am- 6pm
Race Day, October 10th from 6:30 - 7:30am

BEFORE THE RACE

The race begins at 8:00AM sharp! Please allow time for parking. You'll have the opportunity to explore sponsor tents, food trucks, and giveaway tables beginning at 6:30, and we'll have a pre-race warm-up at 7:50.

Walk-up registrations are allowed until 8AM. All shirt sizes may not be available for walk-up registrations.

AFTER THE RACE

Medals will be awarded at 8:30AM and ticket drawings for assorted prizes will immediately follow.
