Sit, Stay, Read!
with Hand in Paw
Tuesday, September 15
3:30pm - 5:30pm
Come read to a therapy dog at the library!
You're invited to join us Tuesday afternoons this fall and winter as we welcome Hand in Paw back to the library! Drop in to the Children's Department after school and meet some incredible animal therapy teams. Participants can learn about therapy animals and how they help humans, and you'll get the chance to share your favorite books with them! Reading aloud has been proven to improve reading skills, especially in children, and these pups are all ears and waiting for a good story!
No registration is required, and reading sessions will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Adults must remain with their children throughout this event.
