Join Jim Phillips for a night of stories told to him by owners of 1800s Alabama mansions and the ghostly apparitions or unexplained encounters that have occurred in them. Many of these supernatural events were witnessed simultaneously by 2 or more people. He will also discuss the ghost based beliefs of whites and blacks that populated antebellum Alabama as well as vampire fears of colonial America and what he considers the 3 scariest horror movies of all time. Alabama historian/videographer/explorer/speaker Jim Phillips has performed around 1,200 talks in Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Georgia. He also produced the videos "History of Jefferson County" and "History of St. Clair County" for their respective historical societies.
