Young Adult/Teen Summer Reading Schedule 2014

June 3-Come Sign Up for Summer Reading today. Sign up continues throughout the 6 week program.

June 7- Paul Miller will be here with his Skill Toys Workshop .  You will spin plates on sticks, juggle flower sticks and more .  This is always a very popular program, and you earn bonus auction bids toward prizes for attending.  Saturday, 1 p.m.

June 10- Yarbrough’s Reptile Program. Can you tell the difference between a rattle snake, a copper head and a nonpoisonous snake?  You will be able to after attending  this program! Tuesday, 2 p.m.

June 12- Movie and popcorn   The title will be posted in the Y.A. Department. Thursday, 11 a.m.

June 17-Join you friends and make a beautiful glass object.  DIY Crafts of Homewood will conduct this class on glass fusing. Tuesday, 2 p.m.

June 19-Movie and popcorn.  The title will be posted in the Y.A. Department. Thursday, 11 a.m.

June 23-Live Animal Program presented by 4-H.  See, hear, touch and learn about a variety of animals. Monday, 3 p.m.

June 26-Award winning author, Irene Latham will conduct a Writing Workshop. Do not miss this fun activity!  Earn extra bids for attending.  You can also earn extra bids by reading one of her books before June 26. Thursday, 2 p.m.

July 1- Information coming soon. Tuesday 2 p.m.

July 8-Spark a Chemical Reaction!- Let’s blow things up!  Tuesday 1 p.m.

July 10- Movie & Snacks. 11 a.m.

July 15-Chef Angela is back!  For you newbies, Chef Angela’s cooking programs are always great fun and provide good eating. Tuesday, 2 p.m.

July 19-This Saturday is the Last Day to report reading hours!

July 22- Final Party-Mad Science Challenge! Enjoy fun, food, and learn who won the auction prizes.
