Book Browse “seeks out and recommends only the most interesting and well written books” and provides readers with tools to enhance their reading pleasures. Visitors can view some of Book Browse for free, but only members can access premium features.
Hennepin County Library Database
Hennepin County Library has a “handy reference guide to authors and genres." Their “If You Like…” page allows users to browse all the subject categories, which range from Christian Fiction to techno-thrillers and horror. Search by author or theme, or view the links to other resources from Hennepin County Library.

This site can be accessed in the library without a card. Home users will need a valid library card to access this database. Novelist is an EBSCO product that provides users access to author read-alikes, award winner lists, book discussion guides, feature articles, and recommended reads. The easiest way to access it is by going to the Trussville Library web site and clicking on the “Databases” link (you will be taken to the site below). The link to Novelist is on the left side of the page, under “Languages, Literature, Writers and Books.”

This site is “a resource for omnivorous readers.” It contains a lot of information about different genres and reader’s advisory topics.
This site is a blog that is hosted by Genreflecting. It is limited because it is a subscription-based service. The free features are worth a browse, though.
